22. Replacement parts – When replacement parts are required, be sure the service technician has used replacement parts specified by the manufacturer or have the same characteristics as the original parts. Unauthorized substitutions may result in fire, electric shock, or other hazards. 23. Safety check – Upon completion of any service or repairs to this appliance, ask the service technician to perform safety checks to determine that the appliance is in proper operationg condition. Notes: 1. Item 3 is not required except for grounded or polarized equipment. 2. Item 17 and 18 are not required except for units provided with antenna terminals. 3. Item 17 complies with UL in the U.S.A. 4EN 5 EN 1 Connect your Surround Speaker with the corresponding color terminals on the Wireless Receiver (RFU-R6100). (Right: Gray, Left: Blue) 2 Connect the Wireless Receiver (RFU-R6100) power cord to your power supply. • The Wireless Receiver (RFU-R6100) power indicator lights up green. 3 Connect the AC adapter to the Wireless Transmitter (RFU-T6100) and power supply. 4 Make sure you position both the Wireless Transmitter (RFU-T6100) and Wireless Receiver (RFU-R6100) at least 2 meters (6.6 ft.) apart. • The control distance of the RF signal is about 30m (100 ft.) provided there is no obstacle. 5 Connect and carefully match the colors of the wires on the Wireless Transmitter (RFU-T6100) to the corresponding surround speaker terminals on your Receiver. • The Wireless Transmitter (RFU-T6100) power indicator lights up green. 6 Check and adjust the 4-channel toggle switch on the Wireless Receiver (RFU-R6100) (CHANNEL SELECTOR switch) and Wireless Transmitter (RFU-T6100), so that both units are using the same channel. 7 On your Receiver, play an audio source and activate the surround sound mode option. Adjust the volume to reproduce surround sound in the rear speakers. 8 Extend the antenna vertically on both the Wireless Receiver (RFU-R6100) and Wireless Transmitter (RFU-T6100) to improve reception. Check the antennas are safely positioned without obstruction. To ensure quality sound production and transmission • Place both the Wireless Receiver (RFU-R6100) and Wireless Transmitter (RFU-T6100) off the ground (recommended minimum height of 30cm (1 ft.)). • Avoid placing the Wireless Transmitter (RFU-T6100) too close to your Receiver, AC adapter, TV or other electrical equipment as it may cause electrical interference. • In case of sound distortion, please select another channel for both the Wireless Receiver (RFU-R6100) and Wireless Transmitter (RFU-T6100). The distortion could be the result of interference caused by other equipment using same frequency channel in your house or neighbourhood. Notes: Notes: After you switch off your Receiver, the Wireless Transmitter (RFU-T6100) automatically enters standby mode. On receiving an incoming audio signal from your Receiver again, the Wireless Transmitter (RFU-T6100) automatically operate. • When the Wireless Receiver (RFU-R6100) enters the standby mode, the power indicator lights up red. • Do not position the Wireless Receiver (RFU-R6100) and Wireless Transmitter (RFU-T6100) near metal (such as heat ducts). Metal can absorb RF signals. • When there is an obstruction around other equipments that send signal from the Wireless Transmitter (RFU-T6100), the reception distance by the Wireless Receiver (RFU-R6100) will be short. •The tests for range limits of the Wireless Receiver (RFU-R6100) and the Wireless Transmitter (RFU-T6100) are conducted in open- air distance test. Actual distance of the signal will be based on the construction of the building the unit is being used in as well as other factors such as outside interference. •As for the Wireless Transmitter (RFU-T6100) input of this Wireless Unit, it is optimal to use it with the receiver of Output Power 100 W. Caution: Sound will be distorted if it is above 120 W of Output Power. • It may be greatly audible by test tone reproduction with the standup of sound for a moment for a level setup of a Surround Speaker. •A noise may be heard if the Wireless Transmitter (RFU-T6100) is carried on your receiver. Please put on somewhere else. Standby mode While the standby indicator is lit, a small amount of power is supplied to the system. This is called standby mode. 6 EN For the U.S.A. For the U.S.A.
