GUARD AGAINST KICKBACK A KICKBACK WARNING Kickback can occur when the moving chain contaots an object at the upper portion of the tip of the guide bar or when the wood closes in and pinches the saw chain In the cut. Contact at the upper portion of the tip of the guide bar can cause the chain to dig into the object, which stops the chain for an Instant. The result Is a lightning fast, reverse reaction which kicks the guide bar up and back toward the operator. If the saw chain Is pinched along the top of the guide bar, the guide bar can' driven rapidly oack toward the operator, ther of these reactions can------*----* ■ A KICKBACK WARNING Kickback can occur when the movln„___ contacts an object at the upper portion of the tip of the guide bar or when the \500d closes in and pinches the saw chain in the cut. The Computed Kickback Angle (CKA) listed on your saw and listed in the following CKA Table represents the angle of kickback your bar and chain combinations will have when tested In accordance with C8A and ANSI, itandards. Use of bar and chain combinations other than those listed is not recommended and may not meet the CKA requirements per standard. Kickback is a dangerous reaction that can lead to sori-is injury.
