• Title Repeat the title that is playing. • Chapter Repeat the chapter that is playing. • Track Repeat the track that is playing. Press REPEAT repeatedly during playback. Each time you press REPEAT, the repeat option changes. At the time of DVD playback > Repeat Disc Repeats the entire disc. v Repeat Title Repeats the current title. v Repeat Chapter Repeats the current chapter. v Repeat Off Resumes normal playback. At the time of Video CD/CD/MP3 playback > Repeat Disc Repeats the entire disc. v Repeat Track Repeats the current track. v Repeat Off Resumes normal playback. ¦ To cancel repeat play Press REPEAT so that REPEAT indicator goes off and “Repeat Off” appears in the upper right position on the TV display. Notes • When playing a PBC-compatible Video CD with PBC on, you cannot play it repeatedly. Display Lights REPEAT A2 Press A-B again to choose a scene (sound) as the end point. Lights Display REPEAT A-B The DVD Player automatically returns to point A and starts repeat playback of the selected segment (A-B). ¦ To cancel A-B Repeat play Press A-B so that REPEAT and A-B indicators goes off to display “Repeat A-B Off”. Notes • Repeat A-B will not function for segments under 3 seconds. • When playing a PBC-compatible Video CD with PBC on, you cannot use A-B repeat function. To use A-B repeat function, turn PBC off by pressing TOP MENU, then press A-B. Memory Edit Play The DVD Player automatically plays tracks in the order you program. 1 Press MEMORY to display “Create Playlist” on the top left. 2 Using 5/a, select your favorite Track and then press ENTER to add the Track to the Playlist. To see the Playlist display, press MEMORY. To return to the creating display, press MEMORY once again. 3 Repeat step 2 and create Playlist. You can select a maximum of 999 values. • To change the order of Tracks in the CD and MP3 Playlist. 1. Using 5/a on the Playlist display to select the Track you want to move. 2. Press ENTER to display , then use 5/a to change the order. 3. Press ENTER to confirm. (Not possible while the Playlist is being played) • To erase the Tracks in the Playlist one by one. 1. Using 5/a on the Playlist display to select the Track you want to erase. 2. Press CLEAR. 4 Press PLAY 3 to play the Playlist ¦ To stop playback of the playlist Press STOP 7 once to stop playback. It is possible to resume playback by pressing PLAY .. Press STOP 7 once more to disable playlist resume playback. When STOP 7 is pressed for the third time, Playlist playback is canceled and returns to the normal playback mode. 23 00_DV-SP301.book Page 24 Friday, April 18, 2003 4:18 PM DVD settings The following operations can be performed directly from the remote controller. • Selecting a Playback Audio Setting • Changing the Subtitle Language • Changing the Camera Angle SUBTITLE SUBTITLE ON/OFF AUDIO ANGLE DVD Selecting a Playback Audio Setting Good morning! .Buenos dias!Bon jour! You can select the preferred audio language and sound system as a set from those included on the disc. This function lets you temporarily change the audio language which you selected as the automatic setting in the setting menu (see page 31), and choose the sound system if the disc is recorded in more than one sound format. 1 Press AUDIO on the remote controller during playback. 2 Press AUDIO to select the audio language. Notes • 5.1 Channel sound may be displayed as “6ch”. • Before changing the setting, read through the explanation on “Digital Audio Out” on page 33 and carefully select the setting. • Depending on the disc, it may be necessary to select the audio sound track using the DVD menu. When this is the case, press MENU to open the DVD menu and select the appropriate sound track as indicated on the DVD menu screen. • When you turn on the DVD Player or replace a disc, the DVD Player returns to the automatic setting in the setting menu (see page 31). • Depending on the disc, pressing AUDIO may display a disc menu.
