Setting the Scene Mode 1 Display the shooting-mode selection menu by pressing the A button in shooting mode, and use the rotary multi selector to choose a scene icon. • The icon for the scene mode that was chosen previously will be displayed. Portrait subjects exhibit smooth, natural- looking skin tones. • The camera detects and focuses on a face looking toward the camera (see “Shooting with Face Priority” (A112) for more information). • If the camera detects a smiling face of the subject, the smile indicator increases or decreases. • If the camera recognizes multiple faces, the camera locks the focus on the face nearest to the center of the frame. • If no face is recognized, the camera will focus on the subject in the center of the frame. 161515 • Digital zoom is not available.
