ELECTRIC START • Retract the center stand and sit on the seat with both feet on ground. • Place the key in the ignition and turn it to the ON position. • Move the engine stop switch to the ON position. • OFF : Move the switch to the OFF position to shut down power to the electrical system. Use this feature only when other attempts to stop the scooter have failed. If you find any damaged or worn parts, DO NOT use the scooter. Contact your dealer for repairs. CHECK THE FUEL LEVEL • Check the fuel gauge. Add fuel if necessary. CHECK THE BRAKES • Apply the front and rear brakes to make sure they are working correctly. Refer to “Front and Rear Brake Adjustment” on page 12. CHECK THE TURN SIGNALS, BRAKE LIGHTS AND HORN • Turn the ignition key to the ON position to provide power to the scooter. Move the turn signal to the LEFT and RIGHT positions and make sure
