. Only use the powerplug supplied. . The powerplug transforms 100-240 volts to a safe low voltage of less than 24 volts. . The powerplug contains a transformer. Do not cut off the powerplug to replace it with another plug, as this will cause a hazardous situation. . Do not use a damaged powerplug. . If the powerplug is damaged, always have it replaced by one of the original type in order to avoid a hazard. . Charge, store and use the appliance at a temperature between 5cC and 35cC. . Do not recharge the shaver in a closed pouch. C . Make sure the powerplug does not get wet. . Always unplug the shaver before cleaning it under the tap. C . The appliance complies with the internationally approved IEC safety regulations and can be safely cleaned under the tap. Be careful with hot water. Always check if the water is not too hot, to prevent your hands from getting burnt. C ENGLISH The display C . This appliance offers you the unique possibility to choose the display layout you prefer.You can choose between two layouts: a number layout or a stacked block layout. 1 Press the on/off button approx. 3 seconds. The cleaning, plug and shaving unit symbols appear, together with the display layout you are currently using. 2 You can switch between the two display layouts by briefly pressing the on/off button. Stop switching when the display of your choice appears and wait a few seconds.You will hear a beep to confirm your personal choice. You can change the display layout at any time. Attention: When you star t using the appliance for the first time or after a long period of disuse, it could take several minutes before anything appears on the display! The display provides the following information: Charging C . The number layout: As soon as you connect the appliance to the mains, the display lights up.The number '0' appears on the display together with the plug symbol and the minutes-left indication. The power symbol star ts blinking. ENGLISH C . The stacked block layout: As soon as you connect the appliance to the mains, the display lights up and the MIN/MAX indication and the plug symbol appear. The power symbol star ts blinking. The number of blocks on the display increases from the red block to MAX. Battery fully charged C . As soon as the battery has been fully charged, the plug symbol appears and the word 'FULL' runs across the display every 9 seconds. Used shaving time C . When you switch the shaver off, the number of used shaving minutes appears on the display.The text 'mins used' is displayed (the word 'used' blinks). Remaining shaving time The shaving time of a fully charged shaver depends on your type of beard and your shaving behaviour and is calculated by the built-in computer. A fully charged shaver has a cordless shaving time of up to 100 minutes. C . The number layout: ENGLISH The number on the display indicates the remaining shaving time in minutes. C . The stacked block layout: The number of stacked blocks visible indicates the remaining shaving time. Cleaning reminder C . To remind you that the shaver is due to be cleaned, which will be about once a week in case of normal use, the tap symbol with blinking water drops appears on the display. Battery running low C . The number layout: When you switch the shaver off while the batter y is running low, the plug symbol and the number '0' star t blinking and you will hear a few shor t beeps. When you switch the shaver off, the display remains lit for approx. 10 seconds. C . Every two years your shaver will remind you to replace the shaving heads in order to maintain optimal shaving results. -When you switch the appliance off, the shaving unit symbol appears in the bottom left corner of the display and the word 'replace' star ts to blink above it. At the same time, you will hear a 3-second beep. -In the next two weeks the shaving unit symbol and the blinking text will be visible for 30 seconds ever y time you switch the shaver on or off. -During this period the appliance will produce an audible reminder two more times: a 5second beep after the first week and a 10second beep after two weeks. -You can reset the appliance at any time during these two weeks by pressing the on/off button for 3 seconds during the beeping. After 3 seconds the shaving unit symbol becomes visible for 3 seconds and you will hear a shor t confirming beep. If you have not reset the system after these two weeks, the system will automatically reset itself. Demonstration program C . The appliance has a unique 1-minute demonstration program.
