CLEANING Because of the convection heating principle which depends on air circulation through the finned element, dust will collect between the fins. The heater should be cleaned regularly for maximum efficiency. Before cleaning be sure the heater is off and the element is cool. A vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment may be used for cleaning. The finish of the heater may be cleaned with a slightly damp rag if desired. PAINTING Painting of this baseboard is not necessary unless to match room decor. To paint, first rough up the exterior with steel wool. Paint only the exterior of the cabinet. Do not allow paint on the element and high limit capillary tube. Use a high quality enamel paint.
