Symptom
The OSM Notification Director is not visible when accessing a remote NonStop System Console
(NSC) using Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection.
Version
Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection client Version 6.1
Problem
If you are using Microsoft’s Remote Desktop Connection on your local PC to access a remote
NSC, you must start the session using a different command depending on the client version of
Remote Desktop Connection to view the OSM Notification Director.
Fix
1.
Determine your version of Remote Desktop Connection:
a.
On the local PC, select:
Start > All Programs > Accessories > Communications > Remote Desktop Connection
b.
In the Remote Desktop Connections window, right click on the Remote Desktop
Connection icon:
c.
Select About. The product version is displayed. Close the application.
2.
On the local PC, start a Remote Desktop Connection session:
