Facilité d'utilisation

5. Do not charge batteries for “top up”. Batteries should be placed on charge only when the battery is noticeably running down or the tool no longer performs a task it previously performed. 6. Unplug the adaptor charger and charging slide when not in use and store them in a dry, secure place. 7. Do not charge your battery pack in temperatures below 0°C or above 40°C. 8. Always remove the battery pack and store it in a dry, secure place when the tool is not in use. 9. Battery charging should only be carried out indoors. Warning. Never leave a battery on charge once it starts to warm up. Do not charge the battery for more than 8 hours, as this will damage the battery cells. If two batteries are to be charged in succession, unplug the adaptor charger and let it cool down for about 15 minutes before using it for the second battery. Warning. Consult your local waste authority for information regarding available recycling and/or disposal options of a damaged or worn out battery pack. To obtain the best life for the battery Never allow the tool to come to a complete stand still before recharging. The battery should be placed on charge whenever the battery is noticeably running down or the tool no longer performs a task it previously performed. Avoid conducting short charges. Make sure that the battery is fully charged every time by allowing the charger to complete its full charging cycle. Avoid allowing lose items like screws or nails etc to be stored with battery packs as these or similar items can short battery packs and cause a fire or explosion. Always unplug the charger when not in use and store in a dry secure place. 9 Avoid charging or storing your battery in temperatures below 0.C and above 40.C. Changing a blade Caution. Always ensure that the saw is switched off and unplugged from the power supply before installing or removing a blade. Make sure that the blade protector is fitted to the blade to protect your hands and fingers against the sharp teeth. Removing a blade. 1. Loosen the Allen screw, by inserting the allen key provided and turning it anti- clockwise. This screw clamps the blade so that the blade can be lifted off the retaining pin. 2. Remove the blade from the saw. Fitting a blade 3. Position the hole in the blade over the retaining pin. 4. Tighten the allen key by inserting the allen key and turning it clockwise to clamp the blade in position. 5. Remove the blade protector. Operation Switching on and off and controlling the speed. 1. The multisaw has a variable speed trigger switch, the harder it is squeezed the faster the saw will operate. 2. This gives the operator better control when starting a cut and at break through, and enables the speed of cutting to be varied according to the circumstances. 3. To switch on, rotate or roll the Lock-off switch (2) to release the trigger switch, then pull the trigger on. 4. To switch off, release the trigger switch. General cutting and pruning (230 & 239 mm blades) 1. Hold the saw firmly with both hands in front and clearly away from you. 2. Make sure that the blade is clear of any obstructions. 3. Ensure that the material to be cut is held firmly. Small work pieces should be held in a vice or clamped to the workbench. 4. Mark out the cutting line. 5. To switch on, rotate or roll the Lock-off switch to release the trigger switch, then pull the trigger on. 6. Wait until the saw has reached maximum speed. 7. Begin sawing using the same forward and backward movement you would use with a hand saw. Note. Use only enough pressure to keep the saw cutting. Do not force the cutting; allow the blade and the saw to do the work. Warning. Use of excessive pressure that causes bending or twisting of the blade may cause the blade to break. Warning. Make sure that the blade does not touch the work piece until the blade has reached maximum speed since this could cause loss of control and serious injury. Metal cutting (200 mm blade) Metals such as sheet steel, pipe, aluminium, brass and copper can be cut with your saw. Be careful not to bend or twist the blade and do not force the cutting action. 10 We recommend that you use cutting oil to lubricate the cut when sawing soft metals and steel. It keeps the blade cooler and prolongs blade life. Caution. Clamp the work firmly and cut close to the clamping point to minimise vibration. When cutting conduit pipe or angle iron, clamp the work in a vice if possible and cut close to the vice. To cut thin sheet metal, sandwich the sheet between hardboard or plywood and clamp the layers to prevent vibration and the tearing of the metal. Maintenance Cleaning 1. Keep the tool’s air vents unclogged and clean at all times. 2. Remove dust and dirt regularly. Cleaning is best done with compressed air or a rag. 3. Re-lubricate all moving parts at regular intervals. 4. Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts. Caution. Do not use cleaning agents to clean the plastic parts of the saw. A mild detergent on a damp cloth is recommended. W...
