Normally, only one MONO(MIXED) Jack is to be used,tout both of jacks may be simultaneously used for benefiting maximum chorus effects. (If the Chorus Switch is set to the OFF position, exactly the same signals are sent from these two jacks.) f If using a keyboard, connect it to the Low Input Jack. Set the control panel as shown above, then while playing the guitar, adjust the Volume, Equalizer Section (Hi-Treble/Treble/ Middle/Bass) to your taste. j—INPUT—i Ö Ö A Adjust the amount of distortion with the Distortion Knob. At the OFF position, there is no distortion effect. As you raise the knob clockwise, the created distortion sound become harder. Here, however, the overall volume will increase as well. So, after setting the Distortion Knob, adjust the volume again with the Volume Knob. Adjust the reverb effect with the Reverb Knob. If you want the JC's preset chorus effect, set the Chorus Selector Switch to the FIXED position. If you wish to make your own chorus sound, set the switch to the MANUAL position, and adjust the rate and depth of the chorus effect to your taste with the Rate and the Depth Knobs. In this case, if the Depth knob is set to zero, the Rate Knob has no effect. If you do not want chorus effect at all, select the OFF position. Setting of Equalizer Section (The picture shown below is the JC-77's. The JC-55 does not feature the Hi-treble Knob. Symptom Cause Action to be taken The Power Indicator does not light and no sound is heard, even if the Power Switch is turned on. The power cable is not securely connected. See if the power cable is securely connected. The Power Indicator lights up, but no sound is heard. • The volume of the amplifier or guitar is set too low. • There is something wrong with the connection cord. • Turn the volume up. • Exchange the cord. There is no Chorus effect obtained. When the Chorus Selector Switch is set to FIXED When the Chorus Selector Switch is set to MANUAL The Foot Switch is turned off. The Foot Switch is turned off, or the Depth Knob is set too low. Press the Foot Switch. Press the Foot Switch, or turn up the Depth Knob.
