Channel Section 9 l 2 3 4 5 6 7 6 1 .PEAK:Peak Indicator This lights when the input signal level of each channel is too high. If so lower the input sensitivity by rotating the Gain knob of the relevant channel counterclockwise. *The Peak indicator will light 6dB before clipping level (the level where distortion begins). when a reverb unit is connected to the Effect 1 Send/Return Jacks, rotating this knob clockwise will deepen the reverb effect. *The output from the Effect 1 Send is post fader, and therefore changes depending on the positions of the Gain, Treble, Bass and Channel Fader. 2. GAIN:Gain Knob To achieve mixing with the minimum noise or distortion, adjust the input gain using the Gain knobs.Clockwise rotation increases the gain (volume), while counterclockwise rotation decreases it. 3. TREBLE:Treble Knob This knob adjusts the treble. Rotating it clockwise boosts the high frequency range, and rotating it counterclockwise cuts it. 4. BASS: Bass Knob This adjusts bass sound. Rotating this clockwise boosts the low frequency range, and rotating it counterclockwise cuts it. 5. EFF1: Effect 1 Send Knob This knob controls the level of the signals to be sent to the Effect 1 Send Jack. Clockwise rotation increases the level. For instance, 6. EFF2: Effect 2 Send Knob This knob controls the level of the signals to be sent to the Effect 2 Send Jack. Clockwise rotation increases the level. For instance, when a reverb unit is connected to the Effect 2 Send/Return Jacks, rotating this knob clockwise will deepen the reverb effect. *The output from the Effect 2 Send is post fader, and therefore changes depending on the positions of the Gain, Treble, Bass and Channel Fader. 7. PAN:Panpot Knob Each Panpot Knob routes the input signal from an Input Channel to the left and/or right mixing busses. By means of the Panpot Knobs, input signals can be sent exclusively to one mixing bus, or the other, to both mixing busses equally or since the Panpot Knob is continuously variable to both mixing busses in any relative proportion desired. 8. Channel Fader This adjusts the level of the signal sent from each channel. Raising the slider will increase the level, and lowering it will decrease. 7 to 8 position may be ideal for the lowest noise and distortion. 9. POWER:Power Indicator This lights up when the unit is turned on. 10. Level Meter (L, R) These indicate the level of the output signals. When "0" of the Level Meter is lit, the output level is +4dBm from the standard phone jack. 11.RTN:Effect Return Knob This knob controls the mixing level of the signal returned to the Effect Return Jacks L (MONO), R from the external effect (delay, reverb, etc). Clockwise rotation increases the level. Effect Send/ Return Jacks, this knob controls the overall volume of the reverb sounds while the Effect Send Knob controls the reverb level of each channel. 12. BAL:Balance Knob Balance knob routes the input signal from an Effect Return Jacks L(MONO), R to the left and/or right mixing busses. By means of the Balance Knob, input signals can be sent exclusively to one mixing bus, or the other, to both mixing busses equally or since the Balance knob is continuously variable to both mixing busses in any relative proportion desired. 13. LEVELHeadphones Level Knob As you rotate this knob clockwise, the headphones volume increases, while counterclockwise rotation decreases it. *The volume of the headphones can be monitored as adjusted with the Headphones Level knob regardless of the Master Faders. 14. PHONES:Headphones Jack This is to connect to stereo headphones. 15. MASTER L, R:Master Faders (L, R) These are two independent controls which control the volume of the left and right channels. Raising the fader (toward the "10" position) increases the volume, while lower it (toward the "0" position) decreases it. The optimum position of the Master Fader is where the red indicator of the Level Meters lights up occasionally. 2. Rear Panel 4 3 2 1.Input Jacks (1~8) Input Jacks used for connecting microphones or electronic musical instruments. Since stereo standard phone jacks are employed, balanced input is made possible. The input will be unbalanced if standard phone plugs are used. *The pin assignment for the standard phone jacks is as shown below. Before making any connections, make sure that this pin assignment is compatible with that of all your other devices. HOT O-v' n COLD CD-^ GROUND o-L 2. RTN L(MONO), R:Effect Return Jacks L (MONO), R This is to connect the outputs of an external effect unit (e.g. delay, reverb, etc). The signal fed into this jack is volume-adjusted with the Effect Return knob, then mixed with the output signal. 3. EFF SEND 1, 2:Effect Send Jacks (1, 2) This is to connect the input of an external effect u...
