IMPORTANT NOTES Power Supply • Donotconnectthisunittosameelectrical outletthatisbeingused byanelectrical appliancethatiscontrolledbyaninverter(suchasa refrigerator,washing machine, microwaveoven, or airconditioner), orthatcontainsamotor.Dependingonthewayin whichthe electrical applianceis used,power supply noise maycause this unit tomalfunctionormayproduceaudiblenoise.Ifitisnotpracticalto useaseparate electrical outlet,connectapower supply noise filter between this unit and the electrical outlet. • TheACadaptorwillbeginto generateheatafterlong hoursof consecutiveuse.Thisisnormal,andisnotacauseforconcern. • Beforeconnectingthisunittoother devices,turnoffthepower toallunits.Thiswillhelppreventmalfunctionsand/ordamageto speakers or other devices. Placement • Using the unit near power amplifiers (or other equipment containing large power transformers) mayinducehum.To alleviate the problem, change the orientation of this unit; or move it farther awayfrom the sourceof interference. • This devicemayinterferewithradioandtelevisionreception.Donot usethisdeviceinthe vicinityofsuchreceivers. • Noisemaybeproducedifwirelesscommunicationsdevices,such ascellphones,areoperatedinthe vicinityofthisunit.Suchnoise could occur whenreceiving or initiatinga call,or whileconversing. Shouldyouexperience suchproblems,you shouldrelocatesuch wirelessdevicessotheyareatagreater distancefromthisunit,or switch them off. • Donotexposetheunittodirectsunlight,placeit neardevicesthat radiateheat,leaveit insidean enclosedvehicle,or otherwise subject ittotemperatureextremes.Excessiveheatcandeformor discolor the unit. • Whenmovedfromonelocationto anotherwherethetemperature and/or humidityisverydifferent,waterdroplets(condensation) mayforminsidetheunit.Damageor malfunctionmayresultifyou attemptto usetheunitinthiscondition.Therefore,beforeusing theunit,you mustallowitto standfor several hours,untilthe condensation hascompletely evaporated. • Dependingonthematerialandtemperatureofthesurfaceon which you placethe unit,its rubberfeet maydiscolor or mar the surface. Youcanplaceapieceoffeltorclothunderthe rubberfeetto preventthisfrom happening.Ifyoudoso,pleasemakesurethatthe unit will not slip or move accidentally.
