Never lift or move the computer using the display panel. Small bright dots may appear on your TFT display when you turn on your computer. Your display contains an extremely large number of thin-film transistors (TFT) and is manufactured using high-precision technology. Any small bright dots that may appear on your display are an intrinsic characteristic of the TFT manufacturing technology. Turning on the power 1 Make sure there are no media (i.e. CD-ROMs, DVD- ROMs, diskettes) in your computer’s drives. 2 Turn on the computer by pressing and releasing the power button located on the top of the keyboard. Using the TouchPad™ The TouchPad, the small, smooth square cutout located in front of the keyboard, is sensitive to touch and enables you to move the cursor with the stroke of a finger. Simply move your finger on the TouchPad in the direction you’d like to move the cursor: . To move the cursor to the top of the page, push your finger forward on the TouchPad. . To move the cursor to the bottom of the page, drag your finger toward yourself. . To move the cursor to the right side of the page, slide your finger across the TouchPad from left to right. . To move it to the left side, slide your finger from right to left.
