The Jog Dial Setting window appears. Click a tab to display the setting items. Activity mode tab Activity mode settings are enabled after you reboot your computer. Sound when spinning Jog Dial: This specifies the sound file that is played when the Jog Dial is rotated. Inserting a PC Card To insert a PC Card, proceed as follows: 1 Insert the PC Card into one of the PC Card slots with the front label facing up. 2 Gently push the PC Card slot into the connector. The PC Card is automatically detected by your system. The Safely Remove Hardware icon appears in the system tray. . Removing a PC Card Follow the steps below to remove the PC Card while your computer is on. If it is not removed properly, your system may not work properly. If you want to remove a PC Card when your computer is off, skip steps 1 to 7. To remove a PC Card, procee d as follows: 1 Double- click the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the system tray. The Safely Remove Hardware dialog box appears. 2 Select the hardware you want to unplug. 3 Click Stop. 4 In the Stop a Hardware Device dialog box, confirm that the device can be safely removed from the system. 5 Click OK. A dialog box appears, explaining that it is safe to remove the device. 6 Click OK. 7 Click Close. 8 Push the PC Card release button so that the release button pops out. 9 Push the P C Card release button a second time so that the PC Ca rd pops out. 10 Gently tak e hold of the Ca rd and pull it out of the slot.
