Ensure that the AC adapter is plugged in and that the main battery is installed properly. 2. Turn on the computer and press during POST to access the Boot Menu. 3. Insert the flash BIOS update program floppy or CD and select boot from "CD/DVD/CD-RW Drive". 4. Select "Upgrade your system BIOS" from the menu. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen. The computer continues to boot and updates the new BIOS. When the update is complete, the computer automatically reboots. 5. Remove the flash BIOS update program floppy or CD from the drive.
