Do not leave battery packs in temperatures above 60°C, such as in a car parked in the sun or under direct sunlight. . Battery life is shorter in a cold environment. This is due to decreased battery efficiency at low temperatures. . Charge battery packs at temperatures between 10°C to 30°C. Lower temperatures require longer charging time. . Certain rechargeable batteries do not meet Sony quality and safety standards. For safety reasons this computer only functions with genuine Sony batteries designed for this model. When installing another kind of battery, the battery will not be charged and the computer will not function. . While the battery pack is in use or being charged, heat builds up in the battery pack.
