POLARIZED PLUG This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way. If the plug fits loosely into the AC outlet or if the AC outlet feels warm do not use that outlet. -3 HOW TO AND Knob Steam Vent Glass Lid Removable Stoneware Non-Stick Cooking Surface Skillet Base Probe Guard Temperature Control Dial Temperature Control Probe Cord BEFORE FIRST USE • Wash the Glass Lid, Removable Stoneware and Skillet in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. CAUTION: Do not wash or immerse Temperature Control Probe. • Before using the Skillet for the first time, condition the Non-Stick Cooking Surface by lightly brushing the Non-Stick Cooking Surface with vegetable oil. Heat, uncovered, to 300° F. Turn to OFF and cool completely. Wipe away excess oil. -4 • Make sure the Control is inserted securely the Probe Guard. • Use the settings in section to choose temperature setting. • Turn the Temperature Control Dial to either HIGH or LOW. Do not use Removable Stoneware on gas or electric burners or under broiler. 8. Never overfill the Removable Stoneware. There should be at least a 1” space between the top of the Removable Stoneware and the food.
