Any other use will be considered hazardous. The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage resulting from inappropriate or incorrect use. 7. Certain fundamental guidelines must be observed when using any sort of electrical appliance. Specifically: -Never touch the appliance with either wet or damp hands or feet. -Do not pull on the power cord or on the appliance to remove the plug from the socket. -Do not expose the appliance to the elements (rain, sun, etc.) 8. The appliance must only be used with the types of controls indicated on the appliance label. 9. Before carr ying out any cleaning or maintenance, disconnect the appliance from the mains by removing the plug. 10. Should the electric overblanket or protection fuse breakdown and/or fail to work properly, turn off the appliance and do not tamper with it. For any repairs, take it to an authorised Service Centre. 11. To avoid dangerous overheating, we recommend unwinding the power cord completely during use and disconnecting the plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use. 12. If the supply cord is damaged, the control unit must be replaced by either the manufacturer or ser vice agent in order to avoid a hazardous situation. 13. Examine the appliance frequently for signs of wear or damage, if there are any such signs or if the appliance has been improperly used, return it to the supplier prior to any further use. 14. Should you decide to no longer use this appliance, then make it non functional by cutting off the power cord after removing the plug from the socket. We also recommend making all potentially dangerous parts of the appliance harmless, particularly for children who might be tempted to play with the overblanket. 15. Do not use the overblanket with infirm, infants or people who are insensitive to heat. The electric overblanket must not be used by children unless the control devices have been pre-set by a parent or guardian, or unless the child has been adequately instructed how to operate these devices safely. 16. It is recommended that people with pacemakers do not use the heated bedding for all-night use. The appliance may be used to preheat the bed but should then be switched off and un-plugged from the socket before going to the bed. 17. Do not use on an adjustable bed. If used on an adjustable bed ensure that neither the blanket or the cord do not become trapped or rucked. 18. Use ONLY as an overblanket, DO NOT lie on top of your overblanket as this may cause overheating. 19. Do not tuck in. 20. Do not use when folded or creased 21. This appliance is not designed for medical use in hospital. 22. Do not use if wet. 23. Do not use with a helpless person.
