If you later change DCM Controller’s IP address, you must re-run the initialization script. Specify the RADIUS Clients Using vi or another text editor, edit the /etc/raddb/clients.conf file to include the switches that will use DCM ONE’s RADIUS service. For each client, include the IP address and the shared secret, which must match the secret configured on the switch. You should already be at the root command prompt of the DCM ONE. If you are not, repeat steps 1 and 2 on page 1-18 to get there. 1. From the root command prompt, enter: vi /etc/raddb/clients.conf Getting Started Initial Setup 2. Locate the Client line. Next Steps To begin provisioning your network for servers, refer to the HP ProCurve Datacenter Connection Manager Management and Configuration Guide. (This guide is targeted to network administrators.) HP ProCurve Networking has also provided the HP ProCurve Datacenter Connection Manager Server Administrators’ Guide to help server administrators use DCM ONE to subscribe, or assign, a connection to a new server that they want to add to the network. Both guides are available on the Web at: Getting Started Initial Setup 1-24 A Manually Editing DCM Files Manual Initialization HP ProCurve Networking provides an initialization script that prompts you for information about your HP ProCurve Datacenter Connection Manager (DCM) ONE module and then configures the appropriate DCM files. If you prefer to manually edit DCM files, rather than running the initialization script, you can complete the steps outlined in this section. (These steps replace “Run the Initialization Script” on page 1-18 in Chapter 1: “Getting Started.”) After you configure DCM ONE’s IP settings, you must access its operating system at the root level and edit several files. Complete the following steps. 1. Access the DCM ONE operating system at the root level. a. Use terminal software such as Tera Term or PuTTY to open a terminal session with DCM ONE. – An SSH session to DCM ONE’s IP address – A console session (connecting your management station to DCM ONE’s console port) b. Use the following credentials to log in: – Username: root – Root password: procurve The following prompt is displayed: ProCurve DCM (local host):~# Ca ut ion Be very careful when configuring DCM ONE from the root: misconfigurations can cause it to malfunction. You should be experienced with Linux systems before completing these steps. 2. Using vi or another Linux text editor, edit the /etc/hosts file so that it contains DCM’s IP address, a Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN), and host name. a. Enter: vi /etc/hosts Manually Editing DCM Files Manual Initialization 3. b. Locate the last two lines that show the IP address and FQDN. 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost 192.168....
