Q: I have a customer who has an existing production environment with HP Integrity
Servers running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1. They are
purchasing a new HP Integrity Server in June 2007, but have a requirement to run
it on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1. They are ordering the
system preloaded in the HP factory. Can they order Microsoft Windows Server 2003
with Service Pack 1?
A: No. Only Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 2 will be orderable after the
Windows Solution Release 5.0 ship release (targeted for April 2007). However, HP support
organizations will have a limited supply of SP 1-based reinstall images in order for them to be able to
provide a copy of the Integrity Essentials -- Windows Solution 4.6 which is based upon Microsoft
Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 to those customers.
