Facilité d'utilisation
• Always transport and store fuels in an approved container. • Never place flammable material close to the engine muffler. • Do not use petrol which contains ethanol or methanol as it may damage the fuel lines and other engine parts. J K H I • Mix only enough fuel for your immediate needs. Do not store the mixed fuel mixture. Starting the brush cutter Choke control Start position (choke closed). Run position (choke open). 1. Move the ignition switch (11) to the on position marked with a (Fig. L). 2. Move the choke lever (19) upwards to the start position (cold start) (Fig. M). NOTE. This is not required if the engine is warm. 3. Push the primer bulb 6 times, until the petrol/oil mixture fills the primer bulb (Fig. N). NOTE. This is not required if the engine is warm. 4. Pull the recoil starter (14) several times until you hear the engine starting (Fig. O). 5. Push the choke lever slowly down to the run position (warm start). 6. The engine may start or it may require you to pull on the recoil starter until the engine starts. 7. Allow the engine to run idle for around 10 seconds to let it warm up. 9. Squeeze the safety lever (18) and throttle trigger (13) to engage the blade or spool (Fig. P). Stopping the brush cutter WARNING: The blade/spool will continue to rotate for a few seconds after the engine has stopped. 1. Release the throttle trigger and allow the engine to idle for a few moments. 2. Move the ignition switch (11) to the off position marked STOP (Fig. Q). 3. The engine will now stop. Running in the engine 1. During the first 2-3 hours of work, run the engine at a moderate speed. 2. We advise you in any case not to maintain your engine at a high speed as the different components must settle with each other during the process of running in the engine. 3. It is at the end of the running in period that the engine will reach its maximum power. 4. After the first two hours of work, stop and make sure that all nuts and screws are securely fastened, and tighten them if necessary. Use of the brush cutter This petrol brush cutter is designed to cut grass, small bushes, and shrubs. • Never operate the brush cutter without a properly functioning muffler and spark plug cover installed. • Always use the shoulder strap, when using the tool, to avoid serious injury. • Never operate the brush cutter unless it is properly assembled and in good working condition. • Perform a few accelerations of the motor without reaching maximum speed and without working to make sure that everything is in good working order. • Start the engine only when you are close to the working area. L Q M N O P • Bring the engine to full throttle before entering the material to be cut. The blade has maximum cutting power at full throttle and is less likely to bind, stall or cause blade thrust. • Place yourself in a well balanced position, stable on both feet. • Cut while swinging the upper part of your body from left to right. Swing the unit in the same direction as the blade spins, which increases the cutting action. • Always release the throttle trigger and allow the engine to return to idle speed when not cutting. • Do not hit stones (even small ones), piles of earth, and small pieces of wood or anything else that could be hidden or poorly visible in the grass. If you hit a large object by accident, or if you block the cutting tool due to overloading or having the cutter jammed with grass, you must stop the engine. • Put the petrol brush cutter on the ground and check that the cutting tool has not been damaged and if necessary replace the cutting tool. If the tool is only wrapped around something, use gloves and remove the material and clean the cutting tool. CAUTION. Always wear safety gloves for this operation. • To reduce the chance of material wrapping around the blade cut at full throttle. Swing the unit into the material to be cut, and avoid material just cut as you make the return swing. NOTE. All protective devices of the machine as well as protective equipment must be maintained in good operation condition during the period of use. Petrol brush cutter transmit vibrations to the operator during use. These vibrations can generate increased fatigue. For this reason, we recommend taking regular breaks during work. We also recommend taking a break after a few hours of work to rest the engine. If abnormal noise or vibration occurs during operation, turn the brush cutter off immediately and have the problem corrected. Use with the brush cutting blade Cut the grass like you are in a corridor about 1.5m wide. Move step by step, moving the machine from left to right and vice-versa. Make sure at each step that you are still well balanced on your feet. WARNING: Blade thrust may occur when the spinning blade contacts an object that it does not immediately cut. Blade thrust can be violent enough to cause the unit and/or operator to be propelled in any direction, and possibly loose control of the unit. Blade thrust can occur without warning if the...
