Use straight line configuration in areas where channels 2 to 6 are strongest. Use V-type configura- tion in areas where channels 7 to 13 are strongest. Installation Instructions 1.Insert UHF section into VHF section. Align screw holes and assemble last UHF element on to boom with 1 3.4" screw and nut supplied. (Fig.1) 2.Open corner reflector element rods. Note: When rotating element rods, grasp close to pivot and relieve spring pressure on pivot bracket detents. Do not apply excess pressure to ele- ment rods. Attach corner reflector arms with reflector arm mount- ing brackets using 1 1.4" screws and wing nuts. Be sure that corner reflector arms are held at the proper angle by the brackets. Open all antenna element rods. Insert end caps at end of booms and corner reflector arms. (Fig.2) 3.Wiring: Attach transformer leads to terminals with spade lugs placed between the washers. Tighten the wing nuts. Attach a good quality cable (RG6 recommended) to the transformer. Slide the weatherproof boot over the connector until it seals. (cable and connectors sold separately). 4.Attach antenna to mast: Assemble U-bolt to cross piece. Assemble U-Bolt assembly loosely to antenna, using saddle, lockwash- ers and nuts. Insert mast through U-bolt. Tighten nuts securely. (Fig.4) 5.Signal Splitter: Attach signal splitter to appropriate terminals on TV set. Attach antenna lead-in wire to signal splitter. Note, most newer TVs have only a single antenna input for both UHF and VHF signal. If your antenna has a sin- gle antenna input marked UHF/VHF do not use this signal splitter. If you wish to connect FM to the splitter use flat lead 300 Ohm cable. (not included). If the FM receiver requires 75 Ohm coaxial, you will need a 300 Ohm/75 Ohm transformer and appropriate cable (not included). Evite aplicar una presion excesiva sobre las varas de elemento. Instale los brazos reflectores esquineros por medio de los soportes de montaje correspondientes usando tornillos de 1 1.4 de pulgada (3 cm) y tuercas de mari- posa. Asegurese de que los soportes mantengan los brazos reflectores esquineros en el angulo correcto. Abra todas las varas de elemento de la antena. Coloque las cofias en los extremos de las barras y de los brazos reflectores esquineros.(Fig.2) 3.Alambrado: Conecte los conductores del transformador a los ter- minales de horquilla ubicados entre las arandelas.
