Preparing for use Washing your hair Ever ybody wants shiny and beautiful hair. A good hair-washing routine can help to achieve this. Wet your hair thoroughly for 0-60 seconds. Pour some shampoo into the palm of your hand. Spread it between your hands and distribute it evenly through the hair. Gently massage your hair and scalp. Do not rough up the hair or pull up long hair onto the scalp, as this may cause tangles. 8 EngliSH 5 6 Massage your scalp with your fingertips.This stimulates blood circulation and is gentler to the hair cuticles. Rinse your hair thoroughly, as poor rinsing can result in dull hair. Finish with a cold rinse for extra shine. Drying your hair To get professional styling results, it is essential to prepare your hair for styling. 1 After washing, squeeze excess water out of the hair with your hands and then towel-dry the hair. Use a comb to disentangle the hair gently from the roots to the tips. To dry your hair, make brushing movements with the hairdryer at a small distance from the hair. When you have finished drying, set the hairdryer to the coolsetting for a final cold shot.This closes the cuticles and adds shine to the hair. Use the metal pins to fix the small and mediumrollers and use the butterfly clips to fix the large rollers (Fig. 1). 11 Continue with the rest of the hair. Always take locks of the appropriate width for the rollers. 1 Leave the rollers in the hair until the hair has completely cooled down. You can use a hairdr yer for additional heat.This speeds up the curling process. 1 Remove the rollers from the hair. First remove the clip or pin and then carefully unwind the lock of hair to remove the roller. 1 Do not comb or brush the hair after styling, as this destroys the curls.
