Facilité d'utilisation


• Do not place any kind of object into the inside of the housing. • Do not use the appliance with wet hands, on a damp floor or when the appliance itself is wet. • Do not touch the plug with wet or damp hands. • Check the cord and the plug regularly for any possible damage. If the cord or plug is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. • Do not use the appliance if it is dropped or otherwise damaged or if the cord or plug are damaged. In the case of damage, take the appliance to an electrical repair shop for examination and repair if necessary. • Never attempt to repair the appliance yourself. This could cause an electric shock! • Do not allow the cord to hang over sharp edges and keep it well away from hot objects and naked flames. Remove the plug from the socket only by holding the plug. • For extra protection it is possible to fit the electric household installation with a fault current breaker with a rated breaking current of not more than 30mA. Do not heat any other type of food with it. • Under no circumstances should you place bread with cheese or spreads into the bread slots (10) . PRIOR TO FIRST USE • Remove all packaging. • Let the toaster run on the highest level 4 – 5 times without bread. This will remove any manufacturing residues. While doing so, make sure that the area is properly ventilated (such as by opening a window). OPERATION • Place the bread into the bread slots (10) . Each slot (10) should only be used for one slice of bread. • Connect the power plug (1) to a suitable power outlet. • Using the toasting control (5) , you can set the desired level of toasting (1 = light toasting, 7 = dark toasting). We recommend that first-time users use a light level • Press the lever (9) all the way down until it automatically clicks in. The control lamp (6) will light up and the toasting process will begin. • The device will automatically switch itself off once the desired level of toasting is reached. The lever (9) will jump up. The bread slices are not toasted. • Attention: The bread slices and some parts of the device are very hot right after the toasting process! • You can also change the desired level of toasting during the toasting process using the toasting control (5) . • Toasting frozen bread: Place the bread in the bread slots (10) . Set the toasting control to the desired level of toasting. Press down on the on lever (9) and then press the DEFROST key (2) . The control lamp (6) and the blue control lamp (8) light up and the toasting process begins. • Heating up previously toasted bread: Set the toasting control (5) to the desired level of toasting. Place the bread in the bread slots (10) and press down on the lever (9) . The toasting process will begin and then press the REHEAT key (3) . The control lamp (6) and the blue control lamp (7) light up and the toasting process begins. • Bagel attachment (11): To warm our toast bagels, use the bagel attachment (11) . Attention! Never place bagels directly on the bread slots. • Flip the bagel attachment (11) entirely open and then place it on the bread slots (10) as shown in the illustration. Place the bagels on the bagel attachment (11) and the push the lever (9) all the way down until it clicks in. The toasting process begins and the control lamp (6) lights up.
