WATER TANK -accepts tap water and eliminates the need for distilled water VOLTAGE Be sure the dual voltage selector is in the correct position before operating. In North America the voltage selector switch should be placed in the 120 volt position. This appliance was set at the factory to operate at 120 volts (See Figure 1). HANDLE To unlock the handle, press the handle FIGURE release bar (See Figure 2). The handle will automatically rise to the upright position and lock into place. WATER FILL IMPORTANT: Always turn the fabric select dial to OFF and disconnect iron from electrical outlet before FIGURE 2 filling or emptying the water tank. Slide the water tank release button backwards (See Figure 3) and hold into position with one hand. Lift water tank to remove from iron with the other hand (See Figure 4). (Ink) (Ink) FIGURE 3 Lift the fill hole cap on the water tank and fill with clean tap water (See Figure 5). Replace the fill hole cap, ensuring th it is fastened securely. Snap the front of the water tank into the iron base (See Figure 6). Slide the water tank release button FIGURE 5 backwards and hold into position with one hand. Press back of water tank into position with other hand and release the button to lock the tank in place. IRONING Plug iron into an electrical outlet. Use the “Fabric Setting” chart to determine the best setting and method for the fabric you plan to iron. Move the fabric select dial to the desired setting. The temperature can be adjusted by turning the dial clockwise until the indicator mark is aligned with the proper setting. Allow the iron to heat for approximately five minutes. While the iron is heating, make sure it is sitting on its heel rest and handle on a stable, protected surface. FIGURE 6 For particularly stubborn creases, the SHOT OF STEAM@ function can be used if the temperature adjustment dial is on the hottest setting. Set the fabric select dial to the “cotton/linen” setting. Wait for the iron to reach temperature, press the steam button firmly and release. CARING FOR YOUR IRON AFTER USE Turning Off Your Iron Turn the temperature select dial to OFF. Unplug the iron from the power source. Storing Your Iron l• Allow iron to cool. Remove water tank from iron and empty water from fill hole. Replace water tank. l• Wipe soleplate with a soft, damp cloth FIGURE 7 to remove residue as required. l• Press handle release button in (See Figure 7) and push handle down to lock into position. l• Loosely loop the power cord around iron and store iron in the travel pouch.
