Facilité d'utilisation

However, if the water is very hard, it is advisable to use distilled water. 3 EMPTYING THE WATER TANK • The water tank should be emptied after each use. • Unplug the steam iron from the power supply. • While the steam iron is still warm, open the water inlet cover, hold the steam iron over a sink and allow the steam iron to drain by tipping the point of the steam iron down. • Gently shake the steam iron to loosen any water drops that may be trapped. The warmth of the steam iron should dry out any remaining water. NOTE: If you empty the water tank after the steam iron has cooled down, set the steam iron in an upright position on its heel rest, plug it in and set the temperature control dial to maximum ("MAX" position), wait when the indicator light is off. Unplug the steam iron from power supply. SETTING THE TEMPERATURE • Insert the plug in the power supply and stand the steam iron upright on its heel rest. • Set the variable temperature control dial to the desired temperature: - • - Synthetics, Silk, Nylon; - - Wool; - ••• - Cotton, Linen. • The correct temperature will be reached when the indication light has turned off. SPRAYING • Ensure that there is enough water in the water tank. • At any temperature by pressing on the spray button a couple of times, the laundry can be damped down. STEAM IRONING • Steam ironing is only possible at middle and higher ironing temperature. • Ensure that there is enough water in the water tank. • Stand the steam iron on its heel rest in an upright position on an iron-safe surface and plug it in. • Set the variable temperature control dial to the or "•••", or "MAX" position. • Wait for a while until the indicator light goes out. • Slide the variable steam control to the required position, then the steaming will commence. • When finished, turn the temperature dial in anti-clockwise to minimal position "MIN" and unplug the appliance from the power supply. CAUTION: Avoid coming in contact with escaping steam. 4 DRY IRONING • Stand the steam iron on its heel rest in an upright position on an iron-safe surface and plug it in. • Ensure that the variable steam control switch is in "0" position. • Select the setting on the temperature control dial best suited for the fabric to be ironed. • When the indication light is gone, ironing may commence. • When finished, turn the temperature dial in anti-clockwise to minimal position "MIN" and unplug the appliance from the power supply. CAUTION: If the steam iron has been used for a long time, is hot and there is no water, do not refill it with water until the iron has cooled down. POWERFUL STEAM • Ensure that there is enough water in the water tank. • Stand the steam iron on its heel rest in an upright position on an iron-safe surface and plug it in. • Set the variable temperature control dial to the or "•••", or "MAX" position. • Wait for a while until the indicator light goes out. • Slide the variable steam control to the required position. • Press the steam button to release the burst of steam. NOTE: To prevent water leaking from the soleplate, do not keep the burst button depressed for more than 5 seconds. VERTICAL STEAM • Ensure that there is enough water in the water tank. • Stand the steam iron on its heel rest in an upright position on an iron-safe surface and plug it in. • Set the variable temperature control dial to the or "•••", or "MAX" position. • When the indicator light is off, the steam iron has reached the desired temperature. • Slide the variable steam control to the required position. • Hold the iron vertically and press the shot of steam button, an intense "vertical steam" will be emitted from the soleplate. CARE AND CLEANING • Before cleaning the iron ensure it is disconnected from the power supply and has completely cooled down. • Clean the exterior with a damp cloth and wipe dry. • Scoria on the soleplate may be removed with a rough cloth soaked in vinegar. • Do not use abrasive cleaners. 5 SELF-CLEANING • It is important to apply the self-cleaning function at least every two weeks to remove scale deposit. • The harder the water the more often the iron should be self-cleaned. • Fill water reservoir up to the maximum level and then close it. • Set the temperature control to its maximum position "MAX". • Insert the main plug into the wall socket. • Allow the iron to heat up until the indicator light goes out. • Holding the iron horizontally over the sink then set the variable steam control into position "3" and press the selfcleaning button. • Boiling water and steam will be ejected from the holes in soleplate with Impurities washed out. Rock the iron forwards and backwards during this operation. • Set the steam control to the minimum position "0" after emptying the water reservoir. • Repeat self-cleaning if you notice that much impurity has been washed out. • Move the iron over an old (preferably) piece of cloth.
