¦ To programme the automatic off of up to two burners. Countdown timer The countdown timer can be used to time periods up to 99 minutes. This is independent of other services. It can be programmed even when the hob is switched off. This function does not switch off any burner. It is programmed as follows 1. Touch the 0symbol once. The Qindicator lights up. The time programming indicator ‹‹ is displayed. 2. Touch the -or + symbol in the following five seconds to programme the required time. The countdown begins in a few seconds. The time programming indicator always displays the time remaining for the first programme to finish. When the programmed time has elapsed A beep sounds for 30 seconds. The time programming indicator ‹‹ is displayed. When any symbol is pressed the indicators go out and the beep stops. Change the programmed time Touch the 0symbol and change the time using -or + in the following 5 seconds. The new programmed time will begin after a few seconds. To cancel the programme Touch the 0symbol and change the time to ‹‹ using the -or + symbols. The indicator disappears following a few seconds or displays the time remaining for the following programme. Note: The countdown timer does not continue after a power failure. Programming a burner to switch off automatically Introduce a cooking time for the required burner. The burner turns off automatically when the programmed time is reached. Up to two burners can be programmed at the same time. It is programmed as follows The burner must be on. 1. Touch the 0symbol twice. The indicators display the settings of the burners of their hob for one second. Select the desired burner by touching the 0symbol. 2. Touch the -or + symbol in the following five seconds to programme the required time. The programme will start after a few seconds or when another burner is selected. This sequence may be used to programme any burner on the hob. The time programming indicator displays the time remaining for the first programme to finish. The burner indicator corresponding to the time lights up. The dimmed indicators correspond to other programmes that are in progress. Touch the 0symbol to check all of the programmed times. When the programmed time has elapsed The burner goes out. A beep sounds for 30 seconds. The time programming indicator ‹‹. is displayed. The burner indicators flash successively. Then, when any symbol is pressed, the indicators go out and the beep stops. Turn the control knob of the burners switched off by the timer to the 0 setting. Change the programmed time Touch the 0 symbol, select the burner and change the time using the -or + in the following 5 seconds. The new programmed time will begin after a few seconds. Cancel the programme Touch the 0symbol, select the burner and change the time to ‹‹ using the -or + symbols. The indicator disappears following a few seconds or displays the time remaining for the following programme. Notes ¦ The automatic off function does not continue after a power failure. ¦ It can be programmed for a duration of up to 99 minutes. Timer control panel block To activate the block: Press the symbols 0and @ for 4 seconds. A whistle sounds and the display shows .–. Then the display will show the programme information again. If any symbol is touched while this function is being used a whistle will sound and .– will appear on display. To deactivate the block: Press the symbols 0and @ for 4 seconds. Protection against overheating When high temperatures are reached in the electronics installation, the ”. message will alternate with information on the programmes in progress. The burners continue to operate. When the temperature drops to acceptable levels, the ”. message will disappear. If the temperature reaches the maximum level allowed, the timer turns off the burners and pauses the programmes in progress. The display alternates between the ”. message and the remaining times of the programmes. The control surfaces will remain blocked until the temperature drops to acceptable levels.
