Th. control switches are located on the unit.s front panel. l the light switch switches the hood lamp on and off. l the motor switch switches the cooking smoke an. vapour extractor motor on and off, enabling you to selec. one of the three different speeds plus an intensive set. O I O123i Motor power adjustable to 3 positions plus an intensive set Light switch ON/OFF Safety warnings for use. l Never leave a cooking hob or ring on without a po. or pan on top of it, to avoid the possibility of exces. heat damaging the unit. Gas, oil or coal cooke. flames in particular should never be left uncovered. l Special care should be taken when using deep fa. fryers since the oil in them can overheat and burs. into flames. l The risk of a fat fire increases when using dirty oil. l It is extremely important to note that overheatin. can cause a fire. l Never carry out any flambe cooking under th. hood. l Always disconnect the unit from the powe. supply before carrying out any work on th. hood, including replacing the light bulb (tak. the cartridge fuse out of the fuse holder or switc. off the automatic circuit breaker). l It is very important to clean the hood an. replace the filter at the recommende. intervals. Failure to do so could cause greas. deposits to build up, causing a fire hazard. Maintenance and car. l The hood must always be disconnected from th. mains power supply before beginning an. maintenance work. Metal grease filte. l The purpose of the grease filters is to aspirate grease particle. which form during cooking and it must always be used, either i. the external evacuation or internal recycling function. Attention: the metal grease filters must be removed and washed. either by hand or in the dishwasher, every four weeks. Open the metal grease filte. l Push it towards the back of th. unit and then pull it down an. out.Fig. 4. Hand washin. Soak grease filters for about one hour in hot water wit. a grease-loosening cleaner, then rinse off thoroughl. with hot water. Repeat the process if necessary. Refit th. grease filters when it are dry. Dishwasher machin. Place grease filters in dish washer. Select most powerfu. washing programme and highest temperature, at leas. 65°C. Repeat the process. Refit the grease filters when i. are dry. When washing the metal grease filter in the dishwashe. a slight discoloration of the filter can occur, this does not have an. impact on its performance. l Clean the inner housing using a hot detergent solution only (neve. use caustic detergents, abrasive powders or brushes).
