Do not turn upside down, drop, drag, or set on sharp protrusions. n The water softening system works on 24 volt-60 Hz electrical power only. Be sure to use only the included transformer. n Keep the salt hole cover in place on the softener unless servicing the unit or refilling with salt. ¦ Water softening systems using sodium chloride (salt) for regeneration add sodium to the water. Persons on sodium restricted diets should consider the added sodium as part of their overall intake. Potassium chloride can be used as an alternative to sodium chloride. PROPER INSTALLATION WARNING: Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system. WARNING: Discard all unused parts This water softening system must be properly installed and located in accordance with the Installation Instructions before it is used. and packaging material after installation.
