• If you select 16:9 wide-screen mode and you own a 4:3 TV set, the DVD playback picture will be horizontally distorted during playback. Images will appear to be horizontally compressed. Use button to shift to P-SCAN, and press OK to confirm selection. 4. A warning message will follow, select Yes and press OK to confirm. 5. Use button to return to the main menu bar. Note: No video output when your TV system does not support progressive scan in. 3. AUDIO Setting 3.1 Digital Output 1. Use or button to select Audio and press OK. 2. Use or button to select Digital Output and press OK. 3. Press OK repeatedly to select among Digital Output options or turn the Digital Output off. 4. Use button to return to the main menu bar. 3.2 Down Sampling 1. Use or button to select Audio and press OK. 2. Use or button to select Down Sampling and press OK. 3. Press OK repeatedly to select between 96K and 48K. 4. Use button to return to the main menu bar. Page 11 4. RATING Setting 4. RATING Setting STEP 1: STEP 2: STEP 3: 4.1 Password / Parental Lock DVD discs equipped with the password function are rated according to their content. The contents allowed by a parental lock level and the way a DVD disc can be controlled may vary from disc to disc. For example, if the disc allowed, you could edit out violent scenes unsuitable for children and replace them with more suitable scenes, or you could lock out playback of the disc altogether. 1. Use or button to select Rating and press OK. or button to select parental lock and press OK repeatedly to set the parental lock level. 2. Use 3. Use or button to shift and select Password, enter your 4-digit security code and press OK. If you make a mistake before pressing OK, press the CLEAR button and enter your 4-digit security code again. You cannot play DVD discs rated higher than the level you selected unless you cancel the parental lock function. The parental lock level is equivalent to the following ratings. Level 1 : Kid Safe Level 5 : PG_R Level 2 : G Level 6 : R Level 3 : PG Level 7 : NC_17 Level 4 : PG_13 Level 8 : Adult 4. Use button to return to the main menu bar.
