4 5 6 7 Leave the lid closed, leave the stopper in the lid and leave the filter in the jar. 8 Remove the blender jar from the motor unit. Pour out the drink through the spout of the blender jar (Fig. 26). 9 For optimal results, put the jar with the remaining ingredients (and some liquid, if necessary) back onto the appliance and let it run for a few more seconds. 10 Pour out the rest of the drink. EnglisH 13 tips -When you process a large quantity, we advise you not to put all the ingredients in the filter at the same time. Star t to process a small quantity and let the appliance run for a few seconds. Then switch off the appliance and add another small quantity. Repeat this procedure until you have processed all the ingredients. Always keep the lid closed during processing. -To get the best result when you make fruit juices and cocktails, add approx. 300ml water to 150g fruit.You can also use other liquids, e.g. to make cocktails. -Soak hard ingredients, e.g. soy beans, before you process them. Juicer Turn the screw cap anticlockwise (1) and remove it from the motor unit (Fig. 27). Place the pulp container on the motor unit (Fig. 28). Insert the sieve (Fig. 29). You can use the juicer to prepare fresh fruit juices. Pulp, pips and skins are removed from the juice. 1 2 3 Always check the sieve before use. Do not use the sieve if you notice any damage like cracks, crazes or a loose grating disc. 4 Put the lid on the pulp container and fasten the clamp (Fig. 30). Make sure the lid is properly locked. 5 Pre-cut large ingredients into chunks that fit in the feeding tube. 6 Put a glass or jar under the spout (Fig. 31) 7 Select speed 2 to switch on the appliance. 8 Put the ingredients in the feeding tube. Push down the ingredients with the pusher. Keep the pusher in the feeding tube as much as possible to avoid splashing. Never use your fingers or an object (e.g. a spatula) to push ingredients down the feeding tube while the appliance is running. Only use the pusher for this purpose. 9 When you have finished processing, set the control knob to O. tips -If the pulp container becomes full during processing, switch off the appliance and wait until the sieve stops rotating. Unfasten the clamp and remove the lid. Remove the sieve. Remove the pulp container from the motor unit and empty it. Clean the sieve. Reassemble the juicer and switch it on again. -You do not have to remove thin peels or skins. Only remove peels you would not eat, e.g. those of oranges, pineapples and uncooked beetroots. -Always use fresh fruits and vegetables. They contain more juice. -Leaves and leaf stalks of for instance lettuce can also be processed in the juicer. -Remove the stone of fruit with large stones such as cherries, plums, peaches, apricots. -Apple juice turns brown ver y quickly.You can slow down this process by adding a few drops of lemon juice. -You can use the pulp of carrots, beetroots, cabbage and spinach as the basis for soups and sauces. Boil the pulp and add some herbs. Puree the pulp in the blender.You can use tomato pulp to make tomato paste. -Firm fruits that contain a lot of starch, such as bananas, papayas, avocados, figs and mangoes, are not suitable for processing in the juicer. Use the blender to process these fruits. -The juicer is not suitable for processing ver y hard and/or fibrous fruits or vegetables such as sugar cane. 14 EnglisH Meat mincer Screw the screw cap onto the motor unit (Fig. 32). Place the gear housing on the motor unit (1) and turn it clockwise to fix it (2) (‘click’) (Fig. 33). Place the cutter housing on the gear housing (1) and turn it anticlockwise to fix it (2) (Fig. 34). Insert the worm shaft into the cutter housing (Fig. 35). Place the cutter unit onto the worm shaft.The cutting edges have to point outwards (Fig. 36). Place the medium grinding disc or coarse grinding disc (depending on the consistency you prefer) onto the worm shaft (Fig. 37). You can use the meat mincer to mince meat and to make sausages. 1 2 3 4 5 6 Make sure the holes of the grinding disc fit around the projections of the cutter housing. 7 Place the screw ring on the cutter housing (1) and turn it clockwise to fix it (2) (Fig. 38). 8 Place the tray on the upright part of the cutter housing (Fig. 39). Mincing meat 1 Cut the meat into 10cm-long, 2cm-thick strips. 2 Use lean meat. Remove bones, pieces of gristle and sinews as much as possible. Never use frozen meat! 3 Select speed 1 to switch on the appliance. 4 Put the meat in the tray. Use the pusher to gently push the meat into the cutter housing (Fig. 40). -For steak tar tare, mince the meat twice with the medium grinding disc. Making sausages 1 Mince the meat. 2 Unplug the appliance and remove the screw ring after you have finished mincing. 3 Remove grinding disc and the cutter unit.
