Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight, excessive dust or mechanical shocks. Be especially careful if children or disabled people are near the operating appliance. Do not leave them unattended. Make sure that no foreign objects get into the openings of the unit; it can lead to fire or electric shock. If it happens unplug the unit and apply to a service centre. Conditions Requiring Service Unplug this unit from the wall outlet and refer to qualified service personnel under the following conditions: a) When the power supply cord or plug is damaged. b) There are foreign objects inside the unit. c) If the unit has been exposed to rain or water. d) If the unit does not operate normally. e) If the unit has been dropped or has been damaged in some other way. f) When the unit exhibits a distinct change in performance-this indicates a need for service. Cleaning the unit Disconnect the unit from wall outlet before cleaning. Use damp soft cloth to clean the unit. Front panel could be wiped by soft cloth damped with soap solution. It is forbidden to use liquid or aerosol-like cleansers. Cleaning disks Do not use cracked or deformed disk, doing so would cause damage of the unit. Hold disk by its edges only. Do not touch its operating surface. Dust, scratches and finger prints on disk operating surface could cause its eternal damage. Do not expose your disks to direct sun light, heat radiation, high temperature and humidity. Put disk into case for storage after use. Periodically wipe operating surface of disk with soft cloth periodically, from center to edges. Do not use common cleansers. Description 1. volume level control knob VOLUME 2. disk compartment 3. Insert patch plug of power cord into corresponding slot (20) to connect player to mains supply line. Put switch (16) into the required operating mode. Notice: static electricity could cause clutter during operation. In this case, disconnect the appliance from power source, and connect it back after some time. Battery supply 1. Disconnect player from mains supply. 2. Open battery compartment cover (21) located at its back by pressing the latch in direction indicated by arrow. 3. Insert eight batteries of UM-2/R 14/ C type (not included into delivery set) in battery compartment following the polarity. 4. Close battery compartment cover (21). Notice: If quality od the appliance operation is deteriorating, check the batteries and replace them if necessary. Attention! Use only batteries of recommended type. Do not expose them to direct sunlight and heat sources. Battery leakage could cause injury or damage the appliance. Follow the instructions below in order to avoid it: - Install batteries properly, following the polarity and in accordance with marks on the appliance. - Do not use batteries of different types together (old and new ones, batteries of different types, etc.) - Take batteries out if you are not going to use the appliance for a long time Connecting auxiliary device (AUX) Use slot AUX IN for connecting auxiliary device. Set operating modes switch (16) to position «AUX» Connect headphones slot of auxiliary device with AUX IN slot located at the back of your player using 3,5 mm Jack - 3,5 mm Jack audio cable (not included into delivery set). Switch on auxiliary device. Now you can listen to recordings through speakers of your player. Connecting headphones Connect headphones (not included into delivery set) to Phones slot for listening music via headphones. Adjust necessary volume level using VOLUME knob. Player’s speakers are switched off automatically when headphones are connected. Attention! Do turn on too loud a sound while listening via headphones. Physicians do not recommend continuous listening via headphones. Bass compensation (BASS BOOST) Set switch Bass Boost to «ON».position to enhance bass.
