Now you can listen to recordings through speakers of your player. Connecting headphones Connect headphones (not included into delivery set) to Phones slot for listening music via headphones. Adjust necessary volume level using VOLUME knob. Player’s speakers are switched off automatically when headphones are connected. Attention! Do turn on too loud a sound while listening via headphones. Physicians do not recommend continuous listening via headphones. Bass compensation (BASS BOOST) Set switch Bass Boost to «ON».position to enhance bass. Set switch Bass Boost to « OFF ».position to turn off bass booster. Main functions Always set operating mode switch to OFF position if you do not use the appliance for electricity saving purposes. Radio station reception 1. Set operating mode switch to RADIO position. 2. Select band: FM, AM or FM ST (FM stereo) by setting operating mode switch to corresponding position. 3. Select and tune the station you need by rotating station tuning knob TUNING. While tuning to station transmitting stereo signal, indicator FM ST is on. If stereo signal from FM station is weak, try setting band switch to FM position. 4. Pull antenna completely out and direct it properly to improve reception in FM band. Player is equipped with built-in antenna for AM reception. Try several locations of player. 5. Set operating mode switch to OFF or select another position upon completion of listening to radio. CD playback Notice: Always close disk compartment cover to prevent it from dust. Always take disc out if you are not going to play it back. Do note open disk compartment cover during playback. If player jumps from track to track during playback, reduce volume. Set operating mode switch to OFF position when you do not need CD player. 1. Select CD playback mode by setting operating mode switch to CD position. 2. Open disk compartment cover. Insert disc in and close the cover. Make sure disc is inserted properly, label up. Fast forward/back, skip to the previous or the next track In playback or pause mode, press button SKIP/ SEARCH to go to the next/previous track or to start playing the current track. Press button © SKIP/SEARCH twice to skip to the previous track. In playback mode press and hold button SKIP/ SEARCH for fast forward or fast backward, in Different playback modes Press button MODE once to repeat one track, indicator “REP” is flashed on LCD. Press button MODE twice to repeat all tracks, <5É5>, indicator is flashed on LCD. Press button PLAY/PAUSE for playback, first track will be played. Number of the track and playback indicator ► is indicated on LCD. To cancel repeated playback press button MODE until repeat indicator disappears. Playback at random order You can play back all tracks of disc at random order. Press button MODE three times when playback is stopped, indicator RANDOM is flashed on LCD. Press button PLAY/PAUSE to start playback. To cancel random playback, press button MODE until RANDOM indicator disappears. Programmed playback You can program playback order (up to 20 tracks). 1. Press button PROGRAM once when playback is stopped. Position of track in programmed sequence is indicated on the screen - «P01» along with blinking symbol of program mode - «PROGRAM». -PROGRAM-^ \ \ I * „„■PQV MSC / i \ \ Select a track using buttons SKIP/SEARCH. Press button PROGRAM to save selected track. 2. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for programming the other tracks (maximum 20 of them).
