Be sure and eject the tape before turning off the unit. If a cassette is left engaged in the mechanism. a flat spot will develop from the pressure of the capstan and pinch roller, thus causing uneven sound reproduction and damage to your tapes. Before inserting a cassette into the unit, look through the cassette window to make sure that there is no excess slack, several loose turns.
