• Plates or bowls made from glass, porcelain, stone, ceramics, glass ceramics or heat-resistant synthetics is suitable for use in a microwave. The use of transparent materials is preferable. Round containers are better suitable than angled ones as meals tend to overheat in corners. • Never place recycled paper in the microwave as this may contain tiny metal pieces that can cause sparks. • Do not place anything made of, or containing gold or silver components, as this may cause sparks and will ruin the metals. • Never use sealed metal containers. Microwaves are deflected off the metal which may cause sparks. Open, shallow containers made of metal such as tin-foil containers commonly provided for microwaveable food may be used to warm instant meals. • Tin-foil may be used in small amounts to cover tender parts of a meal such as when de-freezing poultry. Make sure that the tin-foil cannot touch the sides of the microwave in any way. Try to keep a minimum distance of 30mm from the sides of the microwave. • Containers made of wood should not be used. When exposed to microwaves, wood can dry out and crack. GB GBGB PRIOR TO FIRST USE • Remove all packaging from the microwave. • Clean the device as in Care and Maintenance. • Before using the device check any damage, especially on the door (3) and sealing of the door. Should the device be damaged in way, do not use it. • Without the ball bearing (4) and rotation plate (6) properly installed you should not use the device. the ball bearing and place the rotation plate on the actuator (5) . • Make sure that the door opens and closes Immediately remove any dirt or other contamination of the doors sealing. INSTALLMENT OF THE DEVICE • No items should be placed on the device at any time. • Place the device on a stable, flat surface. • Make sure that there is enough space behind the device. The (1) should be kept free at all times. Allow for at least 200mm of space above, 100mm behind and 50mm on the sides of the device. • The feet of the device should never be removed. • Do not position the device where it may be exposed to excessive heat or moisture, and check that no flammable objects are in its immediate vicinity. • Placing the device close to radio or TV devices may cause disturbances of their reception. Advice on avoiding and eliminating disturbances of reception: - Regularly clean the door and sealing of the door. - Readjust the antenna of your radio or TV set. - Increase the distance between your microwave and radio or TV set. - Connect the microwave to a different power outlet than those of your radio or TV set. • Make sure that the device is connected to a properly installed power outlet. • The power plug (8) should always be easily accessible so as to allow immediate disconnection in case of emergency. • The power cable (8) should run beneath the device and should not touch sharp edges or hot surfaces. • The device is only designed for use indoors.
