If you feel any medical or physical symptoms related to vibration (such as tingling, numbness, and white or blue fingers), seek medical advice as soon as possible. Do not smoke during use. Nico2. tine reduces the blood supply to the hands and fingers, increasing the risk of vibration-related injury. Wear suitable gloves to reduce the 3. vibration effects on the user. Use tools with the lowest vibration 4. when there is a choice between different processes. Include vibration-free periods each 5. day of work. Grip tool as lightly as possible (while 6. still keeping safe control of it). Let the tool do the work. To reduce vibration, maintain the tool 7. as explained in this manual. Grounding To prevent electric shock and death from incorrect grounding wire connection: Check with a qualified electrician if you are in doubt as to whether the Outlet is properly grounded. Do not modify the GFCI Power Cord Plug provided with the tool. Do not use the tool if the Power Cord or Plug is damaged. If damaged, have it repaired by a service facility before use. If the Plug will not fit the Outlet, have a proper Outlet installed by a qualified electrician. Double Insulated Tools: Tools with Two Prong Plugs Tools marked “Double Insulated” do 1. not require grounding. If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the number shown on the cover of this manual as soon as possible. ASSEMBLY Instructions Read the entire Important Safety Information section at the beginning of this manual including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product. To prevent serious injury from accidental operation: Turn the Power Switch (1) of the Mortar Mixer to its “OFF” position and unplug the tool from its electrical outlet before assembling or making any adjustments to the tool. Note: For additional information regarding the parts listed in the following pages, refer to the Assembly Diagram near the end of this manual. Insert the Left Auger (28A) into the 1. Output Shaft (27) marked “L”. Then use the provided 7/8” Wrench (28C) and 1-1/8” Wrench (28D) to tighten the Nut (29) and secure the Left Auger in place. (See Figure A.) Insert the Right Auger (28B) into the 2. Output Shaft (27) marked “R”. Then use the provided 7/8” Wrench (28C) and 1-1/8” Wrench (28D) to tighten the Nut (29) and secure the Right Auger in place. (See Figure A.) Warning: Before each use check the operation of GFCI plug. a) Plug GFCI into power outlet. Indicator should turn on. b) Press test button. Indicator should turn off. c) Press reset button again for use. Plug indicator light must be illuminated. Do not use tool if above test fails. Designate a work area that is clean 1. and well-lit. The work area must not allow access by children or pets to prevent injury and distraction. Place a mixing drum (not included) in 2. the work area. Make sure the mixing drum is located on a flat, level ground surface. Pour the material to be mixed (i.e., 3. large batches of grout, concrete, or mortar) in the mixing drum. IMPORTANT: Refer to the manufac4. turer’s instructions of the material for proper mixing instructions. Make sure the Power Switch (1) 5. of the Mortar Mixer is in its “OFF” position.
