This allows the system to settle after disturbance in transit. INSULATION Ensure that there is sufficient space between the freezer and the wall for correct air circulation and opening of the lid. Locate away from sources of heat such as stoves, radiators, etc. Two wall spacers are provided. These should be clipped to the top corners of the rear frame work. While the freezer can be used in an out-building or garage, it must not be located where it is in direct sunlight or where the temperature rises due to effects of the sun. The freezer should not be positioned where it will be affected by draughts or dampness. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION Do not use an extension cord. The refrigerator should be connected to an appliance outlet with no other appliance on the line, otherwise an overbad condition might occur. The grounding plug on this appliance is compulsory by law. For these reason, the (3-pronged) grounding plug of this refrigerator must be plugged into a matching grounding outlet which supplies 120 VOLT 60 Hz single phase. Do not file or cut the grounding plug. CAUTION Danger of electrical shock. Remove piug from from the power outlet before cleaning or servicing. Unplug the refrigerator from the outlet to completely disconnect it from the electrical system supply. BEFORE USE Wash the interior of the freezer using a solution one teaspoonful of bicarbonate of soda to each pint of warm water and dry very thoroughly with a clean dry cloth. Detergents or soap should not be used as the leave a trace of odor. Abrasive cleaning powders must not be used in any interior as they may affect the finish. INDICATOR LIGHTS AND FAST FREEZING SWITCH Green Indicator This light only shows that the main is connected to the Freezer and does not give any indication of the temperature inside the Freezer. Amber Indicator This light will glow while the Fast Freeze switch is on. The switch overrides the thermostat and the compressor will operate continuously and lower the cabinet temperatures still further. TEMPERATURE CONTROL The temperature control switch, located at the front of the freezer, should be set to position 3 to obtain the correct temperature for storing already frozen foods. This setting may have to be varied depending upon the frequency of opening and closing the lid and for room temperature in excess of 25 degrees C (77 degrees F). important: When the freezer is first installed, switch on the Fast Freeze switch (the amber light will show) and run for at least 4 hours before putting frozen foods. This will ensure the cabinet is thoroughly chilled before food is put in. Then turn off Fast Freeze switch. If the cabinet temperature is considered to be incorrect for any reason contact your service agent. LOADING THE FREEZER When loading your freezer with fresh food, place food in contact with the walls of the freezer.
