The Modify User Permissions for Selected Device window appears. Modifying group permissions 1.From SyncThru™ Admin 5, click Job Accounting menu > Devices > Devices Settings > Device List. Device History History list History Summary History Details 5.User Permissions User Permissions Settings Understanding the Job Accounting Enabled Device List By default, this option is enabled, which means you can see all devices including the subgroups’ members. If you do not want to see devices, from subgroups, you can uncheck option. shows current job accounting status of the device. -Enabled : Job Accounting enabled by SyncThru™ Admin 5 system. -Disabled : Job Accounting disabled. -Occupied : Job Accounting enabled by another SyncThru Web™ Admin Service 4.x or SyncThru™ Admin 5 system. shows whether the device supports Job Accounting or not. -Supported : device supports Job Accounting. -Not Supported : device does not support Job Accounting. shows which server is controlling the Job Accounting if the device’s JAC State is Occupied. In other words, JAC URL shows the URL of the server enabling Job Accounting. If the JAC State is Enabled, SyncThru™ Admin 5 is controlling Job Accounting, so the JAC URL does not show. shows the assigned users and users permissions of the device. If you click the Users button, the User Permissions for Selected Device window pops up. You can see the assigned user permissions and modify them. You can also check the usage count for each user or the usage count by job types. With this Users button, you can: -see all the assigned users and permissions. -change the permissions. -delete the users by clicking the button. Assigning user permissions to devices Select Users window appears. The user(s) is added to the Apply Permissions panel. Check the function(s) you want to assign then double click the number under Permission column. You can change the number (default is 250). Or, you can export user permissions with Import Permissions (CSV) button (See "Importing user permissions from a CSV file" on page 26). You can see the results of this permission setting in the User Permissions History. If you click the OK button (not Apply), the page automatically moves to User Permissions History. Importing user permissions from a CSV file If you don’t know what CSV file format is, you can use Export Permissions (CSV) button in the Apply Permissions panel (This button will be grayed out unless you select a device from the Device List). With this button, you can download and save the list in CSV file and reuse it for importing user permission.
