For personal safety, remove house fuse or open circuit breaker before beginning installation. Do not use extension cord or adapter plug with this appliance. Follow national electrical codes or prevailing local codes and ordinances. Electrical Supply: This appliance requires a 120V 60Hz electrical supply, and connected to an individual, properly grounded branch circuit, protected by a 15 or 20 ampere circuit breaker or time delay fuse. Wiring must be 2 wire w/ ground. Please also refer Electrical Diagram labeled on product. Cable Lock: A cable locking connector (not supplied) might also be required by local codes. Check with local requirements and codes, purchase and install appropriate connector if necessary. Measure distance from range top to hood bottom (26” min) Level and mark line A. 2. Plum and mark center line. 3. Mark mounting height line B. (12 3/8” from line A) (This is the top of the board used to hang the hood) 4. Mark center line of wood board and align top of board with line B. Secure wood board to studs using (4) M4 wood screws. If horizontally ducting hood refer to hood specifi cations on page 8 for cut-out dimensions. 6. *Hang hood on wood board and secure using (4) M4 x 16 screws. 7. Install blower(s). Turn to page 11 for blower installation instructions. 8. Install electrical. 9. Install duct work and duct tape. 10. Power up hood and check for leaks around duct tape. 11. Install optional accessories: duct cover (fi g. 2-C), back splash (fi g. 2- D), and/or heat lamp kit (fi g. 2-E). (sold separately) For more detailed instructions refer to manual included with each accessory. 12. Reinstall baffl e fi lters. NOTE: If installing a back splash do not install screws at bottom of hood yet. There is a lip on the back splash that needs to be inserted behind the hood fi rst. CAUTION: At least two installers are required due to the weight and size of the hood. ! PBI-1100A INTERNAL BLOWER COMPATIBLE WITH 10” ROUND VERTICAL DUCTING ONLY Please turn to page 12 for instructions on installing CBI-xxxB in horizontal ducting mode. 1. Position blower plate over bracket on inside back of hood and pivot up. Secure plate to hood with (2) 10x3/16” screws. (blower pictured is a PBI-1100A) 2. Connect male end of blower wire to female plug in the hood. (plug is located inside the hood behind the control panel) 3.CBI-xxxB Blower – Connect 6” round duct work to blower collar. PBI-110A Blower – Place 10” round adapter on top of hood and secure with (4) M4x8 screws. Connect 10” round duct work to 10” round adapter.
